"Accredited Mentorship/Internship Programs"
iFilmGroup accepts Accredited Mentoring Students from high school, college and university for internships in the acting and film industry. That is when students in high school, college or university have their school involved and the student does an internship or period of evaluation with iFilmGroup and the student is then evaluated and receives a mark and credit for their time under the mentorship of the iFilmGroup team. Students who enter the Accredited Mentoring track go through a five-stage process to further their knowledge within the segment of the film industry they wish to focus and specialize in.

ACCREDITED INTERNSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS
All students wishing to apply to do an Accredited Mentorship with iFilmGroup MUST submit the following information:

COVER LETTER: Introducing the student to the iFilmGroup team and stating why they wish to enroll in our Mentorship Program. Also, what they are interested in focusing on and what qualifications if any they have.

RESUME: All students must submit an acting or production resume depending on their field of interest. Listing any roles, jobs or experience they have within theatre or film. Previous experience can be from local theatre, High School, or Indie film. If the student has no previous experience this should be stated in the cover letter.

HEADSHOT or PICTURE: Everyone that submits should submit a headshot or head and shoulder picture so the team can better identify applicants and also help to rule out applicants who are not fully serious about the process (no funny or sloppy shots, no animals).

REFERENCE: All applicants should include at least one reference letter from someone that knows the applicant. Up to 3 Reference Letters can be submitted. With correct contact info, in case the iFilmGroup team wishes to reach out for more information. People serving as references for students should be able to testify to the student's knowledge, interest and work ethic in or around the film or theatre industry. If not from the film or theatre industry, then some aspect related to what they are interested in doing.

AUDITION MONOLOGUE/ DEMO REEL: Acting students will be asked for an Audition Monologue. A demo reel for either film or acting applicants is an asset to show the work of the student. Specifically, if the student is applying for a specialty of an actor, editor or director.

INTERVIEW PROCESS
After review of a student's application material, if the iFilmGroup team feels a student is qualified to move forward in the process and the iFilmGroup has an opening for a particular term or period the student is interested in, then the student's application will then be moved into the interview process.

1st INTERVIEW
The student applicant will be contacted to set up the first interview with a member of the iFilmGroup team either in person or virtually. The iFilmGroup team recommends that all students interested in being part of the Internship Program consider these interviews like you would a 'job interview'.

NOTE FOR ACTORS: For acting Student applicants this will also involve a second Audition Monologue.

2nd INTERVIEW
Pending the outcome of the first interview and after review by the iFilmGroup team the student applicant may be asked for a second interview. This could be for a few reasons: The iFilmGroup team has more questions they wish to answer or they have a couple of applicants, they are still deciding between. This interview will build on the first interview and may open other doors to an area to explore the student candidate's fit within iFilmGroup.

NOTE FOR ACTORS:
Acting Student applicants may be asked to do a third Audition Monologue.

  • All participating "Accredited Mentorship/Internship Program" participants must arrange with iFilmGroup and their school before they are accepted into the accredited program with iFilmGroup.
