INTRO TO IMPROV WORKSHOP WAS HELD ON SATURDAY JUNE 1, 2024

This workshop was hosted by iFilmGroup and was an introduction to the art of improvisation.

One of the most important skills for an actor is the ability to adapt to any situation and react accordingly. Whether you're auditioning for a role, performing on stage, or working on set, you never know what might happen or what might be asked of you. Improv teaches you how to be flexible, creative, and spontaneous. Within the workshop, the creative team embraced the art of ‘play’ in a spontaneous fashion and allowed all who attended to freely without judgement, act out.

"Improvisation: words/dialogue are not written down; actors use words and actions to interact with each other to make sense of who they are and what they are doing in a scene with little to no rehearsal time."  Participants came to the workshop ready to play and had a willingness to say “Yes-and!” To build the story and allow creativity to take over in the moment. 

Another successful iFilmGroup Workshop was held in June 2024 Great Job by Rob Verkest and Crystal Crawley for leading the "Intro to Improv workshop". Thanks to Crystal and Rob for their leadership and for guiding those in attendance through the entry-level of the art of improv. Also thanks to everyone who came and made it successful. It was a ‘fun’ Workshop for everyone. Great learning and great talent!
