KEY THINGS TO GET CAST…

Actors are always striving to get cast. But what are some key things every actor can do to help be more successful during casting?

Casting directors want to know if they have a "professional behaving actor". This might be beyond your experience level with no acting credits at all. But here’s some tips…

-When you can follow directions and instructions, casting teams know you are directable. This includes right at the start of the casting call. If they have instructions for you to follow when submitting.

-Follow the instructions exactly as outlined and follow ALL of them, the way they have asked. This part here is where actors often get themselves in trouble. Not following instructions in casting call submissions means you may not follow directions on set.

Other things that make you castable are ...

-When you respond to messages to the casting director promptly.

-When you fully submit all the material that is asked of you, in the right formats and properly labeled.

-When you answer any questions that are asked of you.

-When you show up on time.

-When you come prepared and ready to work.

-When you bring all the necessary materials with you.

-When you speak or write with knowledge and confidence about yourself, your character, and the choices you have made with the character.

All these things are what help make an actor castable
