iFilmGroup is an inclusive film community made up of all ages that accept all cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and faiths to be a part of their productions.  I like how they approach everyone with love and understand in a non-judgment approach that makes you feel welcome and comfortable. They see you as a person and not defined by where you come from or what colour of your skin.

I have had the privilege to work with the iFilmGroup Production team for a small role in “Not Ready” as a PSW. Being part of a film is the fulfillment of a big dream for me and iFilmGroup has made it happen. They are an amazing team that cares about the people they work with and strive to lift them up and make them better. The team is always trying to help those involved with iFilmGroup to be better in every aspect of filmmaking as well as be better members of society.

The "Not Ready" script was written by the co-founder of iFilmGroup,  Mr. Don Hickey. The script is a wonderful personal story that touches your heart. Don is also a very talented person who is the Community Engagement Manager of iFilmGroup. He enjoys interacting with people and making real-life connections in local communities and online around the world. Don also works tirelessly on updating the very informative articles and press releases that are on iFilmGroup.org. Every time I click on the website, I find something new to read about and learn.

Mr. Matthew Marshall is a very kind and patient director. He is as talented as his long resume makes him look. I was a little bit scared when I found out I was going to be working with him on "Not Ready" because of all the awards he has won. I did not feel like I was worthy of being in the presence of a  big Canadian director. But he calmed my fears and he is very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. He helps you understand your character and the role you are playing. He relates it to real-life experiences everyone has had. Matthew works with you regardless of how much experience you have to make your performance the best it can be. Even when you have a small role like me, you feel like a big star.

The films they make speak to social issues, feelings, and emotions that everyone feels every day. They allow all interested persons to participate in iFilmGroup as long as you give your best effort and make a commitment to come to the workshops and filming days that they have. This is an amazing group that offers great knowledge of the film industry, an opportunity to learn all aspects of filmmaking, and an amazing opportunity for hands-on experience, with credits on films that are winning awards around the world.
